Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF):  The comet now moves past the Red Planet Mars on the nights of Feb. 10, and Feb. 11, and a few nights later, the bright star Aldebaran on the night of Feb. 14; a Valentines Day treat for us Sky-Watchers!  Comet ZTF is best viewed by binoculars and small telescopes.
ZTF’s coma is green in color due to the interaction of the solar wind against the atoms and gas of Diatomic Carbon, thus causing  them to glow from the interaction of high-speed particles.

Looking through binoculars of the two nights that ZTF encounters the Red Planet!
Comet ZTF after rounding the Sun and is now approaching our earth.
The comet is now developing a longer tail plus an anti-tail is now appearing due to the earth's crossing of the comet's orbital plane!
Green coma, anti-tail, and long tail now appears as the comet nears our planet!
